IVY'S STORY
Ivy was surrendered to Equine Welfare NZ in late 2025 after suffering a leg injury that required urgent treatment.
At the time, Ivy was living in a free-lease arrangement. When the extent of her injury became clear, her original owner wasn't in a position to take her back, so Ivy came into our care to receive the treatment she needed.
As part of that process, we made a commitment to her owner that Ivy would always remain within the Equine Welfare NZ family.
That means Ivy won't be available for adoption. Instead, we'll continue to oversee her care and make sure she has the security and support she needs for the future.
SAFE FOR LIFE
Help us be here for Ivy, for as long as she needs us.
Ivy may never be available for adoption, but that doesn't make their story any less important. Your support helps provide their feed, veterinary care, farrier care and everything else they need to live safely and comfortably in EWNZ care.
