FUNDRAISE FOR EWNZ
Horses can't run a bake sale.
Luckily, you can.
They're not much good at quiz nights or fun runs either, and they've never once talked a local café into donating a raffle prize. That's where you come in.
Every fundraiser helps pay for the everyday care horses need when they come to us: feed, vet treatment, farrier care, transport and rehabilitation. It also funds the advice we give owners, so problems get picked up early.
GOT A SPARE SATURDAY?
Pitch in with the team
Sell raffle tickets, run the pop up gear shop or help out on our stand at events like Equifest. Or join the crew behind the scenes and help plan the next quiz night. Come as often as you like, or just when it suits.
GOT A CRAZY IDEA?
Do your own thing
The wilder the idea, the better. Jump out of a plane, run a marathon in jodhpurs or bake 200 scones in a weekend. Simple works too, so rope in your Pony Club, office or book club. You run the show. Just let us know what you're planning, and we'll cheer you on from the sidelines.
YOU'D BE IN GOOD COMPANY
Our supporters have done some brilliant things
SKYDIVE
A few brave souls have jumped out of planes and got sponsored for the leap.
RUN FOR IT
Others have run Round the Bays and marathons, with sponsors backing every kilometre.
QUIZ NIGHT
We've had quiz nights full of know-it-alls, all happy to pay to prove it.
RAFFLE
People have rounded up prizes and sold tickets to everyone they know.
DINNER PARTY
One generous host put on a catered dinner for friends, charged an entry fee and donated the lot.
BACKYARD FESTIVAL
Every year, one woman puts on a mini festival with a live band for her neighbours and gives us the proceeds.
LITTLE BUSINESS, BIG HEART
A young entrepreneur set up her own small business and is raising money for us through it.
DONATION BOX
Local shops have kept a donation box on the counter for us.
YOU DON'T NEED TO RAISE THOUSANDS
Every dollar helps us say yes
We believe no horse should miss out on care because the money wasn't there when it mattered. Horses don't arrive on a schedule, and when one needs us, there's rarely time to wait for funds to come in. Having money ready means we can say yes straight away to the vet, the transport, the feed and the slow, patient work of getting a horse back on its feet. It means we can say yes to the owner who rings early for advice, before a small problem becomes a big one.
That's why every fundraiser matters, whatever the size. The $80 from a bake sale and the $8,000 from a skydive go into the same pot and keep us ready for the next horse, and the one after that. Whatever you raise, you're part of the reason we can say yes.
WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
Tell us what you're thinking.
Whether you want to join our fundraising team, help at an upcoming event or have an idea of your own, send us your details and we'll be in touch.
Submitting an Expression of Interest doesn't commit you to fundraising or guarantee you a place on the fundraising team.
NO PARACHUTE REQUIRED
Another way to help us say yes
Not ready to organise a fundraiser? A regular gift of $5 a week helps us plan ahead and be ready when a horse needs us.
