GET HELP
Worried about a horse?
Whether it's your horse or someone else's, start here and we'll point you to the right help, quickly and without judgement.
IN AN EMERGENCY
If a horse is in immediate danger
A horse loose on a road, trapped, badly injured, or at serious risk right now needs a faster response than we can give. We do not have the powers to uplift any horse, so this falls to the appropriate welfare agency. If it is safe to, let us know too so we can follow up and support.
HORSE LOOSE ON THE ROAD
Call 111 or your local animal control
Loose horses are a road safety risk. Police can respond the fastest.
SUSPECTED CRUELTY OR ANIMAL WELFARE ISSUE
Call the MPI welfare line or SPCA
MPI: 0800 008 333 (option 2 for animal welfare)
SPCA: 0800 77 22 69
